MEET PEDIAQUATICS OF ALACHUA

The real fun begins once you’re in the water! PediAquatics of Alachua is all about children's water safety as well as having fun and building self-confidence. We came to the Alachua Community in 2019 and have had the honor to teach hundreds of children life saving skills. In our program we incorporate survival skills and independent swimming into the same basic training. By teaching children to swim independently and survive they are more prepared to safely enjoy the water around them. Drowning is the number one cause of death in children 1-4 years old . Why Wait? Give them a skill that can help save their lives.

New Students all start with Basic Training. During this course your child will learn age-related water survival skills and independent underwater swimming. Lessons are Monday-Friday, 5 days a week for 4-6 weeks. It is imperative your child does not miss sessions during training as consistency is key to the program

After a break from swimming, such as over winter. It is natural for a child's confidence to decrease. It is essential returning students complete a refresher course prior to returning to the family pool or beach to remaster skills and boost their confidence. This typically takes 1-2 weeks, age and skill level dependent

Children will continue maintenance and refresher courses until they can independently swim across the pool with their heads above water

If you’re on the fence, here’s your sign to go for it! After thinking about it for a year we finally signed our 19 month old + 4 year old up. In just under 4 weeks my kids went from zero water safety skills and a very little swim skills to being able to float, swim and all the necessary survival skills in case anything were yo happen. The peace of mind this has given me, especially living in Florida, has made it all SO worth it. Amy is an incredible instructor — so warm, fun, knowledgeable. She is so affirming and encouraging to the kids. They love her!!! You won’t regret it!

Not only does she have an efficient, perfect setup for children and parents- Mrs. Amy had my 1.5 and 3.5 year old SWIMMING and being SAFE in the water within just WEEKS!
